Oxford-born Canice signed his first professional contract with United when he turned 17 in January 2016. Able to play anywhere along the back four or in midfield, Canice has represented Ireland at under-17, under-18 and under-19 levels. He made his professional debut as a substitute against Macclesfield Town in the FA Cup in December 2016, and his first start against Fleetwood Town on 5th April 2017.
Canice was awarded Young Player of the Year for 2016/17.
