Women's Physio Lead (Under 9s - 18s)
Oxford United Women are seeking a lead physio to oversee and manage the provision of medical support across our girls' pathway (U9-18). The role involves contact time with players across their evening training sessions (Monday to Thursday) plus pitchside support at fixtures (home/away).
You will be responsible for ensuring there is adequate cover for all age groups by working with other physios across the club.

Reports To: Head of Girls Football
Location: Oxford United Training Ground, Oxford Road, Horspath, OX33 1RT
Contract: The role is contracted at 20 hours per week, including pitchside support and administrative duties.
20 hours per week - 15 hours pitchside, 5 hours admin
£1600 p/m - fixed term contract
Role & Responsibilities – General:
- Promote and protect the health and wellbeing of all girls within all age groups and work within the Code of Conduct and Good Practice of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Ensure there is sufficient medical cover for training and games across the girls’ pathway (U9-18).
- Ensure medical supplies are in date and readily available. Submit timely order requests to Hof ASS&M and distribute accordingly
- Ensure medical records and notes are kept up to date, secure, and confidential, and meet the standards set by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
- Ensure handovers between medical staff are timely and well-detailed to ensure consistently high standards of provision to our players
- Lead on communication with parents when directly supporting their child, as well as support other physios with their communication to ensure alignment and high standards across the pathway
- Help support and develop part-time physios, students, and volunteers. Liaise with HofASS&M for staff IDPs and action plans
- Frequently update the age group staff on player injury status and training modification requirements.
- Work with the Performance Lead to support player progress in RTP periods
Experience:
- Experience in managing schedules and logistics in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
- Experience working in high-level youth sport
- Strong understanding of safeguarding guidelines
- Strong understanding of FA rules and regulations
Qualifications & Training:
Essential
- BSc (Hons) or MSc Physiotherapy
- Full membership of the CSP & registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- FA ITMMiF (desirable)
- FA Safeguarding Certificate
- FA Introduction to First Aid/Emergency First Aid
- An enhanced DBS check will be carried out
- A driving license and the ability to travel independently and reliably
Desirable:
- Experience working in high-level youth environments
- Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team to support players
Skills & Behaviours:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, elite performance environment
- Ability to meet deadlines with a high level of precision and reliability
- Ability to use basic Google Drive functions and associated programmes for administration responsibilities
- Ambitious and driven towards contributing to the development and progression of the programme
- Committed to ongoing and regular personal CPD and the ability to engage constructively with feedback
