September Event - Tour De Bean

With the Oxford Half Marathon coming up in October, we're excited to announce our September training run: Tour De Bean, taking place on Sunday 13 September.

Tour De Bean is a unique Oxfordshire running adventure that takes us between some of Missing Bean's iconic cafés. It's designed to give you a great training opportunity while keeping things social, relaxed, and, of course, fuelled by coffee!

☕ The route

We'll start at Missing Bean Abingdon and follow a scenic route towards Missing Bean Botley.

There will be checkpoints along the way at:

Missing Bean Magdalen Road – just over halfway
Missing Bean Turl Street – further along the route
Missing Bean Botley – the finish

The checkpoints mean you can choose a distance that works best for you and your training.

2026 FOOTBALL BUSINESS AWARDS RECOGNITION

United Run Dept. picked up Bronze at the 2026 Football Business Awards in the Best Fan Engagement by a Club – Premier League & Championship Clubs category — something we’re really proud of.

Since launching at the start of 2025, the goal has been simple: bring people together through running. Whether it’s weekly runs or bigger events across Oxfordshire, it’s the community that’s made it what it is.

Alongside the Bronze award, United Run Dept. was also shortlisted for Best Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme and Sponsorship or Partnership of the Year – Premier League & Championship Clubs — a brilliant reflection of how far things have come in a short space of time.

Most of all, this recognition belongs to everyone who’s turned up, run with us, and been part of it so far. And we’re just getting started.

MISSING BEAN COFFEE ROASTERS

URD

Missing Bean were the first to bring speciality coffee to Oxford when they opened their original Café back in 2009, and also became the City’s first coffee roasters when they began roasting in 2014. Since then, they have fuelled not only local Oxford residents, but the whole county with new Cafés popping up in Abingdon, Banbury, Botley & Woodstock (with more on the way!). As well as this they have a wholesale base across the UK and a busy online shop allowing their beans to be enjoyed at home.

Direct-trade coffee is at the heart of everything Missing Bean do, and allows them to share ethically sourced, sustainably grown beans with the masses. It’s these direct relationships with the farms, the farmers and their families, which set Missing Bean apart and is also evident in the way they work alongside suppliers and customers here in the UK too.
