Girls Pathway ā Goalkeeping Specialist
Oxford United are looking for a passionate and dedicated Goalkeeper Coach to join our Girls Pathway. The successful candidate will be committed to developing goalkeepers across our programme (U9-U18), helping them reach their full potential both on and off the pitch.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced coach or someone new to the role looking to grow within a professional environment.

Location: Oxford United Training Centre, Oxford Road, Horspath, OX33 1RT
Role Description:
Hours:
Monday 5:00pm-6:30pm / 7:00pm-8:30pm (U9-U13)
Tuesday 6:00pm-7:30pm / 7:30-9:00pm (U15-U18)
Wednesday 5:30pm-7:00pm / 7:00-9:00pm (U13-U18)
Thursday 5:30pm-7:00pm / 6:00pm-7:30pm / 7:30pm-9:00pm (U13-U18)
Depending on availability for the above-listed sessions, this role can be casual/sessional or a fixed-term contract for the right candidate. You may also be asked to support our JPL squads (U13-18) on gamedays (Saturdays).
Role & Responsibilities ā General:
- Lead goalkeeper training sessions across all age groups within the Girls Pathway
- Plan, develop, and monitor training programmes to ensure continual goalkeeper development
- Analyse performance during games and training, providing constructive feedback to players
- Lead Individual Development Plan (IDP) meetings and reviews
- Compile game and training footage to assess goalkeeper performance, highlight areas for improvement, and celebrate progress
- Confidently support outfield training sessions when required
- Actively contribute as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)
- Collaborate with coaching staff to integrate goalkeeper development within the overall team framework
- Be responsible for maintaining the kit and equipment to a high standard
Experience:
- Minimum one year of experience working in an elite football environment or with high-level individuals
- Experience providing written feedback to players (Individual Development Plans)
Qualifications & Training:
Essential:
- GK Qualification, CPD, or experience coaching strong goalkeepers
- FA Safeguarding Certificate
- FA Introduction to First Aid/Emergency First Aid
- An enhanced DBS check will be carried out
- A driving license and the ability to travel independently and reliably
Desirable:
- UEFA C with experience working in high-level youth environments
- Experience using VEO/analysis of game footage
- UEFA B
- Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team to support players
Skills & Behaviours:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, elite performance environment
- Ability to meet deadlines with a high level of precision and reliability
- Ability to use basic Google Drive functions and associated programmes for administration responsibilities
- Ambitious and driven towards contributing to the development and progression of the programme
- Committed to ongoing and regular personal CPD and the ability to engage constructively with feedback
