Oxford United Football Club are currently looking to recruit a Coach Analyst to join their successful and progressive Men’s First team. 

Reporting to the Head Coach and Head of Football Operations, you will make a highly valued contribution to match preparation, playing a key role in all opposition, training, and post-game analysis, providing crucial insight to the Head Coach and Coaching Staff.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all performance analysis support across the Men’s First Team, managing a team of analysts to provide insight to the coaching staff and players.
  • Play a key role in the creation of pre-match game plans and strategies.
  • Lead on the pre-match opposition analysis process, delivering presentations to players and coaching staff.
  • Provide live support to the Head Coach and Coaching Staff on First Team matchday.
  • Assist with the delivery of training sessions when required.
  • Lead the post-match analysis process for review meetings with players and staff.
  • Manage the Club’s performance analysis software agreements, reviewing regularly to ensure the Club operates at the best practice level.

Personal Specification:

Essential:

  • Minimum three years’ experience in elite football with a proven track record of working within a successful analysis and coaching department.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of the EFL Championship.
  • MSc Degree in a Performance Analysis-related subject.
  • UEFA C License in Coaching.
  • Experience leading and managing a team.
  • Experience using a variety of data platforms & software, including Hudl Sportscode and Catapult Matchtracker.
  • Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including UK-wide travel.
  • Full and clean driving license.
  • Up-to-date DBS check.
  • High degree of computer and data literacy.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Desirable:

  • UEFA B License in Coaching or above
  • Previous coaching experience
