Although Graham was Ron Atkinson’s younger brother, he was in no way overshadowed by his older sibling. In almost 15 years at United (which encompassed an 18-month loan spell at Cambridge United) Graham made just under 400 appearances and became Oxford’s all-time leading goalscorer with 107 goals. He made his debut aged 16 years 108 days, making him the youngest player to have represented the club since turning professional, and as he scored on his debut he is also therefore the youngest player to have scored for the club since 1949.
