Right-back Tony signed for United in June 2018 on a two-year deal following his release from Bradford City. He joined the Bantams, initially on loan from Blackpool, in March 2015 and made a name for himself with his set-piece prowess, recording a large number of assists. Tony started his career with Middlesbrough, where he made almost 150 appearances before his move to Sheffield United, meanwhile enjoying loans at Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday. He was with the Blades for two seasons before he rejoined the Tangerines, on loan at first before signing permanently.
