Oxford United U18s open their Merit League 1 campaign on Saturday with a home fixture against Cheltenham Town at the Bangkok Glass Training Centre at 11am.
Following their important win against Bristol Rovers two weeks ago, the young U’s qualified for the Merit League 1 finishing in the top 5 of their Youth Alliance group.
The team will be looking to gain momentum from this game before they face Millwall in a mouthwatering semifinal clash in the U18 PDL Cup on Wednesday 6th March.
The young Us are currently on a three-game winning streak and coach Pablo Haysham said:
“We had a really good end to the youth Alliance League, and we want to take this form into the merit league. Wednesday’s a huge game and a great opportunity for the boys, but we need to focus on Saturday first and make sure that we take a positive result into the semifinal.”
