Oxford United are delighted to announce that defender Sam Long has signed a new two-year deal with the club.
The 25-year-old has been with the club since he was eight and has become a key member of Karl Robinson’s squad this season. He told us
“It’s my hometown club, I am enjoying my football and I think over the last two years I have been improving as a player under the Gaffer. It’s great to get it sorted and now the focus will be just on winning promotion via the play-offs".
Karl told us
“You know what you are getting with Sam. The fans can see it: he is one of the most wholehearted and committed players around and a natural leader but he is also always willing to listen and learn. He is a winner and we love having him here so it’s great news all round.”
