Oxford United's final game of the season ended in thrilling fashion, with an end-to-end 3-3 draw away to Swansea City.

Both teams went into the game without fear of relegation or a chance of play-offs, which led to a party atmosphere from both sets of fans in South Wales.

Falling behind three times, Gary Rowett's side fought back to equalise on each occasion, with goals from Greg Leigh, Michal Helik and Przemysław Płacheta earning a point for the 3,000 United fans.

The Head Coach spoke to OUTV post-game and was delighted to give the travelling support some more positivity to end the season.

He said: "We started the game quite brightly. When the game started I had said to the players we need to go out there and play it properly.

"We then come back three times and in some ways that sums up the team. We have never given up and I'm very pleased with that.

"It was a fitting tribute to how we have played in the last 25 games with spirit, character, and a bit of quality at the end.

"How good were the fans today? They were absolutely incredible to come down in those numbers. They enjoyed it and they showed how pride they are in the team."
