Fan Representatives recently met with the Club’s Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer, Adam Benson, and Supporter Liaison Officer, Aaron Kightley, at the quarterly Fan Advisory Board meeting.
As usual a range of topics were discussed including questions raised by fans via the FAB Reps. The main focus was a briefing on commercial and branding strategy.
FAB Chair, Janine Bailey, said: “It was really helpful to discuss the rationale behind our Club’s current commercial and branding strategy. The FAB has a responsibility to contribute fans’ views on issues including Club core values and sponsorship principles.
"Navigating often competing considerations around generating income, selecting appropriate partners and meeting fans’ expectations is a delicate balancing act. We also discussed the Club’s strategy on fan surveys and made a number of suggestions which could help fans contribute more effectively."
Adam Benson commented: “The Fan Advisory Board plays an important role in helping us share context around our commercial direction and, just as importantly, understand supporter sentiment. These discussions help inform how we approach brand development, partnership activity and fan engagement as we continue to evolve our commercial and marketing strategies.”
