Oxford United Women travel to AFC Bournemouth on Wednesday for a crunch match at the top of the table.
The game, to be played at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium, sees the U’s go head-to-head against second-in-the-table and unbeaten Cherries, who are six points ahead of United in the FA Women’s National League.
The U’s go into the game themselves on an unbeaten eight-game run, which includes progression in both the Women’s National League Cup and the Adobe Women’s FA Cup in the past two games, to earn next-round ties at Plymouth Argyle and at home to Luton Town respectively.
Oxford know that victory would bring them back into contention for top spot. With a home game against league leaders Watford on Sunday, United go into a key period of the season.
