Oxford United supporters have the chance to vote for their favourite goal from the opening month of the season - exclusively via the Official Oxford United app.
Oxford United's Goal of the Month Award, proudly sponsored by Tripp Hearing, will feature a shortlist of the standout goals from the Men’s, Women’s and Academy teams across the month.
And there’s more! Every supporter who casts a vote will be automatically entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a fantastic prize.
In August, one lucky supporter will win a 2026/27 replica home shirt signed by the award winner. If you’re randomly selected as the winner, we’ll be in touch directly.
August has been a great month for all teams in Yellow and Blue. Across the Club, United managed to notch an incredible 24 goals and secure a number of positive results. The Men's team made an unbeaten start to their League One campaign, the Women's team won all three of their WNL fixtures while also progressing to the next round of the WNL cup, while the Academy saw wins over rivals Swindon Town for the Under 21s and progress in the cup against Cheltenham Town for the Under 18s.

Ciaron Brown vs MK Dons
The first strike nominated came in the dying minutes against MK Dons on the opening day of the League One season. With the U's seemingly heading for defeat despite a dominant second-half display, Gatlin O'Donkor drove a ball across the box for Ciaron Brown to calmly power home into the roof of the net, sending the crowd in OX4 wild. Brown's left-footed strike from the edge of the six-yard box was one a striker would be proud of.
Maeson Vaughan vs AFC Wimbledon Under 18s
The Under 18s continued their unbeaten start to August with a 2-2 draw against AFC Wimbledon, with Maeson Vaughan spectacularly opening the scoring. Both sides started cautiously, with neither able to create a clear opening in the early stages. However, Vaughan broke the deadlock with a superb finish into the top corner, giving the team the lead in the first half.
Holly Manders vs Exeter City
The Women’s team made a flying start to the season with an impressive 4-0 victory away to Exeter City in their opening game. Liam Gilbert’s side dominated the first half, racing into a four-goal lead before the break thanks to braces from Emma Thompson and Holly Manders. The opening goal was a particular highlight. Manders stepped up to deliver a stunning left-footed free kick from the right-hand side of the box, curling the ball over the goalkeeper and into the far corner to set the team on their way.
Gatlin O'Donkor vs Stevenage
The second game of the campaign saw the U's travel to Stevenage, hoping to build on the point gained in the opening game. With the game goalless after an hour, O'Donkor was introduced off the bench and made an immediate impact, heading home a cross just two minutes after stepping onto the pitch. That header, placed low and hard down to the keeper's right, set United on their way to a 2-1 victory.
Holly Manders vs Lewes
Manders didn’t just score one belter in August! United beat Lewes 3-0 at the MGroup Stadium to cement their place at the top of the WNL table, with a brace from Manders setting them on their way. Her first of the afternoon was a moment of pure class. Manders found the net directly from an inswinging corner, whipping the ball viciously with her left foot and over the goalkeeper before it nestled into the far corner.
Kasway Burton vs Swindon Town Under 21s
The Under 21s got their season off to a winning start by defeating Swindon Town 3-2 at home. The game entered the final ten minutes with the score at 2-2, before Kasway Burton picked up the ball on the left on half-way. Burton proceeded to dribble past no less than six Swindon Town defenders before calmly slotting the ball into the far corner from the right-hand side of the box. A brilliant goal worthy of winning any derby game!
