PREVIEW Oxford United v Norwich City U21

A full guide to tonight's game at the Kassam Stadium

3 September 2019

Oxford United welcome Norwich City's under 21 side to the Kassam Stadium this evening as the Trophy gets under way.

Team News
Dan Agyei stands by for his first start since joining from Burnley, having worked hard on his fitness over the last few weeks. The striker is likely to be part of a changed side for the U's where Sam Long, John Mousinho, Kevin Berkoe, Jamie Hanson, George Thorne, Rob Hall and Tariqe Fosu will all be hoping for opportunities.

The Opposition
None of Daniel Farke's senior squad will be involved but Under-23s head coach David Wright is looking for his young side to impress against the U's:

"We will have boys who will surprise us. Not in the sense that we don't know they are good players already, but they will show no fear, they won't be overawed by the occasion," he said. "On nights like this you do find out a lot about these young players. Are they brave enough to get on the ball when they have a 28-year-old with 300 appearances under their belt steaming towards them? That tells us little things about their character.

"We have done our homework on Oxford, we know the shape they have been playing but mostly it is about us."

Meet the Players
Three players who are not involved in the match itself will be in the shop between 17:30-18:30 to sign autographs and pose for photos with any fans who wish to meet them.

With the new away kit back in stock it's a great chance to come and say hello to the players. The Club Shop is in the Ozone complex at the west end of the ground.

As usual there will be Supporter Liaison Officers and Stewards all around the ground to help you with any questions.

The Family Room is not open for this game as the North Stand is not open to home fans, but we have a full Family Guide to games available here: OUFCFamily.pdf
We are proud to have a bespoke Sensory Room for fans under 23 who maybe need to take a little time out on a matchday with our fully trained helpers. Just ask a steward if you would like to use it or email Supporter Liaison Officer Kath Faulkner  for more details:

The car parks at the ground will be open as usual and we will tweet (@OUFCOfficial) with traffic and parking updates.

Away fans-  Please park in the West car park- the one closest to the cinema and bowling complex at the fence end of the ground.
The Rapid Expansion System (RES Gate) will not be in operation behind the North Stand  which means fans can move from one end of the ground to the other behind that stand.
Any supporter with mobility impairment who requires assistance during the fixture is advised to locate an OUFC Supervisor (indicated by either a yellow / orange or orange coat)
Although there is no readmission if you leave the ground during the game Smoking Pens are provided in the North Away, East Stand and executive areas for half time.
If you are a Norwich fan travelling to the game then a full Supporters Guide is available here: OUFCAwayDayInfo.pdf
The Club Shop is open and the new home and away kits are available.
You can follow the whole game on twitter through @OUFCOfficial, or here in our Match Centre, and hear the game in iFollow if you are in the UK or see it if you are abroad.
And Finally: Thank You

Our thanks to everyone who donated to the bucket collection at the Coventry game on Saturday in aid of the walking football club Defibrillator Appeal. The total raised on the day was a massive £1120.91.

A great effort and our thanks to everyone who helped.
