Under-18s Make the Trip to Cheltenham

Vaughan

Oxford United Under-18s are back in league action on Saturday following a short break.

The Young U’s have been in  excellent league form heading into the back end of the season and are currently on a five-game winning run.

The game against Cheltenham poses a good opportunity for United to catch up those ahead of them. Currently sitting sixth in the league, Oxford have several games in hand on the teams above them and will be hoping to use these to climb the table.

Whilst the Under-18s took a break over the Easter weekend, the Under-17s were in action in Birmingham. It was a well-fought 1-1 draw for the side against a strong West Bromwich Albion outfit.

The visitors have had a difficult time against Oxford as of late - their last two trips to the Training Centre have seen them ship 15 goals in 9-0 and 6-3 losses. The Robins will be hoping for better fortune at their own ground, as they themselves look to use their games in hand to also climb the table.

A thrilling 6-3 encounter at the beginning of the year was the last time these two met. A game with nine goals, a penalty and a red card had it all and tees up tomorrow to be another interesting clash.

Kick off will be at 11:00am on Saturday 11 April.
