Oxford United are set to light up the Kassam once again, as our smartphone-powered light show returns for Tuesday night’s Championship clash with Queens Park Rangers, and we want every supporter involved.
Midweek under the lights is always special in OX4, but for the visit of QPR, we’re raising the bar. As the Yellow Army takes their seats, the stadium will burst into life with a spectacular, fully synchronised interactive light show, created by thousands of supporters’ phone torches working as one.
‘The Baxi Light Show’, delivered in partnership with our Principal Partner Baxi, is easy to join. All you need is the official Oxford United app, which should be downloaded or updated before you arrive. No mobile signal or Wi-Fi is required inside the ground.
How to get involved:
- Download or update your Oxford United app: Make sure you have the latest version installed — iOS (v8.1.3) or Android (v11.11.7).
- Find the Light Show: Head to ‘More’, then ‘Baxi Light Show’ in the app, or simply scan the QR code that will appear on the big screen.
- Allow permissions: Follow the prompts to enable access to your camera and microphone until you reach the ‘waiting to sync’ screen.
- Be in your seat by 7:25pm: The show will begin shortly after, so get settled in early.
- Join the moment: When prompted, open the light show page, hold your phone up toward the pitch, and your torch will automatically sync with the show.
