Oxford United Women’s Shelly Provan has started a new full-time Player Care and Operations role at the Club.
The defender has been at the Club since 2022 and will balance her new role alongside playing for Sam Rose’s side as they challenge for promotion to WSL 2.
Provan will support operations and provide player care across different departments at Oxford United Women and Academy.
The former PE teacher recently returned to action after suffering a ruptured ACL in April 2024 and believes her experience will be crucial to her new role.
She said: “I’ve probably experienced all the ups and downs of football, and if I can support players through the things I’ve also experienced, then it will be a positive.
“This is my fourth season here and it’s been incredible to see the strides the Club has made on the women’s side.”
