Oxford United Women have bolstered their squad for the rest of the 2025/26 season with the signings of Alice Bussey and Maya Kendall.

Bussey joins the Club, subject to international clearance, following five years in the United States studying and playing at the University of North Alabama.

The 23-year-old forward came through the ranks at Gillingham before making the move to the States, where she played alongside current U’s midfielder Kate Wiseman.

On signing for Oxford, she said: “I’m really excited and very grateful for this opportunity and to get started with the girls.

“Coming back from America, I was looking for a place that is growing and will improve me as a football player. Oxford’s got a lot of ambition and a lot of goals for the future and I’m excited about that.”

Kendall links up with Liam Gilbert’s side after spending the first half of the season with fellow Women’s National League club Watford.

The 21-year-old is a fast and direct attacking player whose previous clubs also include Bristol City and Exeter City.

She said: “I think this Club has a huge amount of potential and the groundworks, the people, the facilities are all going in the right direction.

“It fits where I am in my career right now and I think it will really drive me forward as a person and as a player.”

The two new additions will be looking to make an impact as United go into February with league fixtures against Watford and Bournemouth, before the FA Cup Fifth Round clash with Charlton Athletic at the MGroup Stadium.
