Oxford United Under-18s

Oxford United Under-18s welcome Sutton United to the Training Centre as they look to get the first victory of the league season.

The side aim to get things back on track after a difficult first week of the season. Kick off will be at 11:00am at the Oxford United Training Centre.

United defender Jameson Blackmore spoke about the long injury list at the moment with the boost of Calum Doyle returning from suspension this weekend.

He said: “We have enough boys in the squad to play, but it’s obviously not nice having so many out injured, but they’re coming back soon which is a positive."

Despite the result on Saturday against Luton, there was a definite improvement in the performance from United. Jameson touched on the progress saying, “there has been certain passages we’ve been improving on, and they showed against Luton, so we just need to keep building on it/"

The opponents, Sutton United, will be coming into the weekend with a spring in their step after their 4-1 win over Plymouth Argyle. The London side have had a mixed start, also losing their opening fixture, with Wycombe getting a 2-0 result over them.
