Oxford United are pleased that Natural England has now confirmed that the area to the south of the Club’s proposed new stadium, does not meet the definition of ancient woodland.
This decision follows Natural England’s review of evidence submitted by the Club from independent specialists.
Jonathon Clarke, Development Director at Oxford United, said: “We have conducted highly detailed assessments of the potential economic, social and environmental impacts of this new stadium to ensure we are fully prepared.
“Although this delay was avoidable and unnecessary, we are pleased that the evidence provided to Natural England resolved this matter quickly and look forward to the planning committee considering our application shortly.”
