Oxford United Sign Luke Harris on Loan From Fulham

Luke Harris

Oxford United are delighted to announce the signing of Luke Harris on a season-long loan from Premier League side Fulham.

A Wales Under-21 international, Harris joins after a successful loan spell with last season’s League One champions Birmingham City, playing 36 games and scoring four goals.

The 20-year-old has also played 21 times on loan for Exeter City in League One, scoring a further four goals.

With seven first team appearances for Fulham, four coming in the Premier League, the attacking midfielder is one of the London club’s most exciting young prospects.

Harris will now spend the 2025/26 season with United in the Championship, and he is excited to now make his mark in yellow.

Speaking to OUTV after signing, he said: “I’m delighted to be here. I just can’t wait to get started. It’s good to be in to meet the boys, now I’m just ready to get going.

“I’m a player who wants to try and get into the box as much as possible and get on the end of things to score.

“I’ve played a number of times in the Wales set up and I feel that will benefit me here at Oxford United. I hope all my football to date will put me in good stead for this season.

“I’ve had good experience going out and playing Men’s First Team football. It was a good experience for me last season to win the league, even though I feel I didn’t play as much as I wanted to.

“I can’t wait for this challenge and I’m looking forward to showing the fans what I can do when I get out on the pitch.”

Head Coach, Gary Rowett, said: “Luke is a real high level young player who we are excited to work with.

“Last season, I watched a lot of Luke having kept a close eye on Birmingham City. He is a player with a lot of quality on the ball and someone who wants to take risks at the top end of the pitch.

“He has a lot of first team experience in the EFL for his age. We want to sign players that can have an immediate impact, and we feel Luke is ready to be a positive influence in our group.”

Head of Football Operations, Ed Waldron, said: “We are delighted that Luke has decided to choose Oxford United as the next step in his career.

“We have shown over several years that we are a Club that Premier League sides can trust when sending their best young talent out on loan. To secure Luke for the season is a fantastic reflection of what clubs like Fulham hold about Oxford United.

“Luke’s ability is without question, and we feel he is adding real quality to an important area in our squad.

“We look forward to seeing how he develops across the season, and we hope he can be an important threat, adding both goals and assists.”
