Oxford United Set for Pre-Season Tour to Indonesia

Oxford United Tour of Indonesia

We are delighted to confirm that Oxford United will head to Indonesia next month to participate in the annual President’s Cup tournament.

Departing on 2 July, Gary Rowett’s Men’s Team will compete in the six-team tournament against sides from Southeast Asia, including a high-profile opener versus the Liga Indonesia All-Stars.

With Indonesian internationals Marselino Ferdinan and Ole Romeny in the squad, the tour promises to be a unique opportunity for the Club and a vital step in building towards the 2025/26 Championship season.

The tournament is split into two groups of three, with Oxford United joined in Group A by a Liga Indonesia All-Stars team and Arema FC from Indonesia.

United’s tournament will begin on Sunday 6 July in Jakarta against the All-Stars in the 77,000-seater Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, the home of the Indonesian National Team. From there, the team will travel to the city of Bandung to take on Arema FC at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium.

A third game is then scheduled in Bandung, with a third/fourth place fixture followed by the final of the President’s Cup, where United could face Indonesian teams Persib, Dewa, or Thailand’s Port FC from Group B.

The squad will leave for Oxford on 15 July to continue preparations for the new Championship season, which begins on the weekend of 8 – 10 August.

Ticketing and broadcast/streaming information for our games in Indonesia will be announced as soon as these details have been shared with the Club.
