Mark Harris Signs New Oxford United Contract

Mark Harris

Oxford United are delighted to announce forward Mark Harris has signed a new contract.

The Wales international has scored 25 goals and registered eight assists over 102 games since signing for United in the summer of 2023 from Cardiff City.

Helping to lift the Club out of League One scoring 19 goals in the 2023/24 campaign, the 26-year-old was integral to last season’s Championship success, playing in all 46 games.

After signing the new deal, Harris said: “The two seasons I have spent at Oxford United have been the most enjoyable in my career.

“From the day I arrived, the fans have been outstanding, supporting me through good and bad times. We have had some incredible highs, and I want to do everything I can to continue to provide more moments for this Club.

“I feel settled here in Oxford, but I’m full of ambition to achieve more. Wembley was a moment I’ll never forget, and last season was another hugely successful season. I want to make sure there are many more special memories to come, and I can see how positive the future is going to be.”

Head of Football, Ed Waldron, said: “Mark has performed with such a high level of consistency since he arrived at Oxford United.

“He is such an unselfish forward and gives an incredible work rate which at times can go unnoticed. He is a brilliant leader on and off the pitch, driving daily standards and inspiring the players with his effort and commitment.

“At 26, we feel his best years are still to come and we are delighted we will get to see this in an Oxford United shirt.”
