The newly formed Oxford United Fan Advisory Board (FAB) met for its inaugural meeting at the Kassam Stadium earlier this month.
Following extensive engagement between the Club, members of former fan board OUSP, the Football Supporters’ Association (FSA), and OxVox, the launch of the FAB is part of the Club’s broader Fan Engagement Plan to strengthen relationships with supporters.
The FAB will serve as a formal structure to ensure fans have a platform for meaningful and consistent dialogue with the Club.
The Board’s remit will cover a wide range of off-field topics, such as the Club’s strategic vision and objectives, proposals relating to significant changes to Club heritage assets, stadium issues and updates and plans for broader supporter engagement.
The Club were represented at the first meeting by Grant Ferguson (Chairman), Tim Williams (CEO), and Adam Benson (Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer).
At the meeting, a summary of the Club’s five-year strategic plan was presented to the Board, along with updates on the new stadium project, Club finances, and football development across Men’s, Women’s and Academy.
FAB members, following consultation with other supporters, also unanimously approved the removal of the pinstripes in the Club crest. Supporters will start to see a phased rollout of this over the coming weeks.

Janine Bailey, Chair, said: "This first meeting of the FAB was an important milestone in fan engagement at Oxford United.
“It demonstrates that the FAB can deliver effective two-way communication, both bringing questions to the Club and providing fan feedback on issues raised by the Club."
