Derby Weekend for Under-18s

Under 18s

Oxford United Under-18s make the trip down the A420 this weekend to face local rivals Swindon Town.

The Young U’s will be looking to continue their impressive recent record in the league, winning seven out of their last eight games. The run has seen them climb to seventh in the table, however, do have several games in hand on those above them.

The Robins on the other hand have had a far from ideal season, currently sitting second to bottom on the table. Despite their position, recent form suggests that Saturday will still be a competitive match.

They have picked up seven out of their last twelve possible points, including big 5-2 wins away in both Cheltenham and Exeter.

Encounters between these sides have been known to be fiercely contested, with the rivalry between the clubs even being present at Youth level.

United got the better of Swindon last season, doing the league double over their opponents with 3-0 and 6-0 wins and will be looking to do the same this season.

Kick off will be at 11:00am in Swindon, Saturday 21 March.
