Oxford United U18’s host Horndean FC at Court Place Farm tonight with a 7:30 PM kick off in the FA Youth Cup.
Horndean, or The Deans, are based in Hampshire and will face a United side who are fresh off the back off an excellent performance against League leaders AFC Bournemouth, drawing 3-3 after being 2-0 down last Saturday
Oxford came out as 3-1 victors against Torquay United in the first round, with goals from Richard Gerrard, Kasway Burton and Aidan Elliott-Wheeler.
The Youth Cup at Court Place Farm is a fantastic opportunity for the young U’s to get a taste of first team football. Centre back Erion Zabeli is up for the Cup.
“It's like the Champions League for us. The better we do, the more eyes will be on us, the more chances we have to impress the Gaffer and coaches.
“Horndean will want to prove something to us, we’re a professional club that are in every day working hard and if I was a Horndean player I’d want to show what I was about and try and get one over on us.”
Come and support the Young U’s to help them progress to the next round.
Tickets are £6 for Adults and £3 for Over 65’s and Under 18’s.
