Oxford United will face Leyton Orient and Sutton United in the group stages of the Papa John’s Trophy.
The U’s are in Group G of this year’s competition and the three confirmed clubs will be joined by one of eight invited teams featuring the U21 side of a Premier League club.
The EFL clubs are all guaranteed two of their three group games at home, including against the invited team.
The draw will be completed on Thursday morning, shortly after the League 1 fixtures are announced.
United have also been confirmed as Ball 23 in the southern section of the Carabao Cup draw which will take place on Thursday afternoon.
