It’s a big week for all of Oxford United’s teams this week with FA Cup, FA Youth Cup and National League Cup action for the Men, Under 18s and Women’s sides.
Sunday will see Karl Robinson’s team take on Bristol Rovers in the Emirates FA Cup while the Women welcome Bridgwater to Court Place Farm looking to progress in the League Cup after a 5-0 win over Swindon in the last round.
First into cup action though are the Under 18s, who welcome Sutton Common Rovers to Court Place Farm on this evening (Wednesday, 7pm).
As coach Darren Purse told us, it should be a great night of proper cup action:
“We’re looking forward to it,” he told us. “Sutton have come through four rounds to get to this stage and we have watched them and know they are a good side. Yes, they are the underdogs but that just makes it more important than ever to prepare properly and make sure we are right for the game.
“It’s a great competition, I still have a lot of great memories from playing in it for Orient many years ago and playing away at Aston Villa. Both teams on Wednesday will be hoping to get through and try and make their own memories.”
See Darren and Elijah Coe previewing the game below, then come along and join us on Wednesday.
The game takes place at Court Place Farm on Wednesday 3rd November 2021 with a 7pm kick off.
The prices are £5, £3 for Under 18s and Over 65s, with the programme 50p.
Supporters can purchase tickets in advance by cash or card from the Oxford United ticket office in person before 3pm on the day of the match or telephone (01865 337533). On the night entry is cash only.
