U's Sign Keeper on Emergency Loan

Trueman shows up in time for the U's

23 November 2021

Oxford United are pleased to announce the arrival of goalkeeper Connal Trueman on Emergency Loan from Birmingham City.

Connal, 25, has been at the Blues since he was a scholar and has made 13 appearances in the Championship as well as successful loans at Leamington, Solihull Moors, Swindon Town and AFC Wimbledon.

He joins on a short term loan to provide cover for Simon Eastwood, who misses tonight’s game at home to Fleetwood Town and the game at home to Rotherham United on Saturday while he self-isolates, and for Jack Stevens who is still recovering from a non-covid related illness.

With Kie Plumley unavailable for the next two games under covid protocols Youth team keeper Eddie Brearey steps up for the next two games and will be on the bench tonight.
