Last Thursday saw Oxford United deliver their first ever Virtual Business Networking Event, in partnership with the club's shorts sponsor IFX Payments.
Hosted by former player and Business Development Manager Peter Rhoades-Brown, the event consisted of various talks from representatives from the club and external businesses. Rosie and Adam Harris, Corporate Sales Executive, provided a commercial update from the club and how the behind-the-scenes operations have been adapted during the pandemic.
The event was then passed over to Simon Hughes, Director of IFX Payments. Simon gave an introduction and insight into the products IFX Payments offer, and how these services can benefit a variety of businesses of different scales and sizes.
First Team Psychotherapist Gary Bloom continued, discussing his roles and responsibilities since joining the club, whilst also talking through the importance of looking after your mental and physical health during the pandemic. Gary also mentioned his recent book release, which can be bought HERE
Lastly, Head Coach Karl Robinson joined the event to answer some of the questions that were presented to him by the attendees of the session. Karl gave an insight into his time at the club, the importance of leadership in the workplace and his ambitions while working with the U’s.
