Oxford United Women are delighted to announce the addition of central midfielder Molly Childerhouse from Reading.
Having progressed through Reading’s academy, Childerhouse featured on the bench regularly for The Royals last season in the FA Women’s Super League.
“Last season I was training with Reading’s first team,” Molly mentioned. “Being around those players who are leaders and have been in the game for years allowed me to learn on a daily basis.”
Now Childerhouse joins Liam Gilbert’s side ahead of United’s pre-season opener against Wolves on Sunday, however the midfielder is already accustomed to The U’s style of play.
“The games which I saw from last season really impressed me and the way the team plays is really suited to the way which I play as well.
“To be honest, it was quite an easy decision to join the club; the ambitions of this club made the decision a no-brainer really. This is a place that I really believe will help me develop and push me to my limits.
“For the team, our aim is to win the league and gain promotion, and I’m here to help achieve such an ambitious aim. For me, I’ll need to fight for a shirt; there will be a lot of hard work which I’ll need to put in and I’ll definitely be doing that all season.”
