Oxford United are delighted to announce that Anthony Forde has today signed a new one-year deal with the club.
Forde, 27, started his career at Wolves followed by spells at Walsall and Rotherham before joining the U’s in the summer of 2019. He played a part in over 40 games last season and his versatility and energy make him an important part of Karl Robinson’s side.
He told us
“I always wanted to stay and play here because I have loved every minute since I arrived. It’s a really positive place to play your football and having gone so close to promotion for the last two seasons I think everyone is determined to try and go one better this time. I want to be part of that.
“I’ve come back fully fit and it’s been great to be back among the lads and working hard so we start the season well and get off to a good start.”
