Social Bubble Survey Now Live

Important information for Season Ticket holders

7 September 2020

Oxford United can confirm that the 2020/21 Season Ticket holder Social Bubble Survey is now open.

The survey can be accessed HERE and has been introduced to allow fans to inform the club of the following:

  • Whether you intend to attend home league fixtures whilst the stadium operates at a limited capacity
  • If you do wish to attend, who is within your social bubble

Once this information has been determined, the club will then begin the process of mapping out the seating plan for a limited capacity Kassam Stadium and will notify supporters of their seating details.

Supporters are advised that there is a strict deadline of 5pm on Monday 14th September to submit your form. Any supporters who have not been included in a submission after this point will be considered as not attending matches with a limited capacity.

The club fully appreciates that these bizarre and unprecedented times may raise queries, so we have put together a series of frequently asked questions that we hope will address any concerns.

When will supporters be allowed back inside the Stadium?
The Government’s current guidance is that spectators will be allowed to return to football stadiums from October, with social distancing measures in place. These social distancing measures will reduce the number of supporters permitted inside the Kassam Stadium. If the above protocol stays in place, the club will be looking to welcome back fans for the Sky Bet League 1 fixture with Crewe Alexandra on Saturday 3rd October, 3pm.

Who will be able to attend games?
Our aim is that all Season Ticket Holders will be able to attend permitted home games, however this will be dictated by Government legislation and protocol. If the total number of Season Ticket holders exceeds the available capacity, a selection policy will be implemented and communicated to supporters in due course. If all Season Ticket holders have been accommodated and there is capacity to welcome additional supporters, a match ticket purchasing process will be implemented.

What constitutes a Social Bubble?
Groups of two households to a maximum of six count as one social bubble. For example, Mr & Mrs Smith & their two children Amy & Andy could sit with Mr Smith’s Mother & Father in a row of six.

Do I need to fill out the survey if I attend matches by myself?
Yes. As well as determining Season Ticket holder social bubbles, the survey has been introduced for supporters to notify the club that they wish to attend fixtures once opened at a limited capacity.

My friend has already included me in their survey submission, do I need to fill my details in too?
No, if you have been accounted for in an acquaintances submission then you are not required to fill out the survey once again.

I didn’t realise that someone has included me in their social bubble and I’ve sent my own submission in, what happens now?
The club will be using the first submission that a supporter is included in as the basis for the seating plan mapping.

I am choosing not to attend fixtures whilst the stadium operates at reduced capacity, will I be able to watch the matches for free on iFollow?
Yes. All supporters who opt to not attend fixtures will receive free access to all home league fixtures streamed on iFollow.

When will I receive my Season Ticket?
The delivery of Season Ticket cards and welcome packs has been delayed due to COVID-19.Therefore, throughout the period where the stadium operates at a limited capacity, supporters will have a choice of how they gain access to the Kassam Stadium for matches:

  • By using a temporary Season Card issued by the Ticket Office
  • By opting to use an E-Ticket stored on a compatible smart phone

You will be asked to choose your method of entry when filling out your Social Bubble Survey
