Oxford United’s under 21 side are in action again on Tuesday when they welcome AFC Bournemouth in the Central League Cup.
The young U’s have played two games in the competition so far, beating Southend United at home then losing at Bournemouth last week, and now welcome the Cherries to the Oxford Sports Park for a rematch in another Behind Closed Doors game.
United may give one or two senior players a chance to gain match fitness, including Dylan Asonganyi, while players currently out on loan such as Jack Stevens, Slavi Spasov and Kyran Lofthouse are likely be involved along with Nico Jones, Kie Plumley, Michael Elechi, Fabio Sole as well as a number of the under 18 side who are also chasing Bournemouth at the top of their own league.
