RIP Mick Morris

Manor Ground forward passes away

16 March 2020

Oxford United were saddened to learn that former U’s striker Mick Morris has passed away at the age of 77.

Mick joined United from Faversham in June 1964, going on to play a key role as the U’s won promotion from Division Four in 1965.

In total, Mick played 95 games for the U’s, scoring 15 goals before moving on to Port Vale in August 1967. He played 200 games for the Valiants, scoring 25 goals, and later played for Stafford Rangers, playing for them in the 1976 FA Trophy final.

We would like to pass on our condolences to Mick’s family and friends.
