PREVIEW Oxford United v MK Dons Women

Midweek action at Court Place

3 March 2020

Oxford United Women welcome MK Dons Women to Court Place Farm tonight in National League action.

Team news
With the squad raring to go after Sunday’s postponement Manager Liam Gilbert is looking for his side to make up for lost time.

“We can’t wait,” he told us. “Sunday was understandable but the forecast is better and it’s a 3G surface at Oxford City so we should be OK. We have been training really well and here’s hoping that we can get a run going to match the men’s side at the moment. They don’t have a midweek game so it would be great if fans came along and saw the Women’s team in action.”

Tickets
Tickets are priced at £5 for adults, £2 Concessions and FREE admission for under-16s at Court Place Farm (OX3 0NQ). Supporters can also follow our social media channels to keep up to date with all the news on matchday - including pre-match team news, in-game updates and post-match interviews. Five game form-guide

Oxford- W: 4 D: 0 L: 1
United have been scoring goals for fun lately, netting 18 goals in their last two games. While The U’s' most recent result, a 12-0 win vs Oxford City, saw United reach the County Cup final, focus now switches to the league after a succession of postponements. The only loss in the last five came in the form of a narrow defeat to Cardiff City just before Christmas, but since then United have netted another 6 against Keynsham in their last league encounter in January.

MK Dons- W: 3 D: 0 L: 2
The Dons’ last fixture came against United’s opponents next Sunday, Portsmouth, where MK were beaten at home 4-0. Milton Keynes’ last away game before their trip to Court Place Farm on Tuesday was a 4-0 victory versus Hounslow. The last time The Dons faced Oxford, United came away with a 5-0 win.

One to Watch: Leah Littlechild
The Dons forward scored in her side’s last victory, away at Hounslow, as she broke the deadlock by scoring the first goal of a 4-0 win. The number 7 was also winner of last year’s County Cup for MK Dons.
