United host the Cherries at the training ground

21 October 2019

United's U23s are back in action at home against AFC Bournemouth at the Oxford United Training Ground (KO 2pm).

United’s youngsters will host the Premier League side at the training ground, with the match once again being open to the public.

The U's are set to name a young side this afternoon, with several of United's U18s likely to be handed a chance. Nico Jones, Viktor Milton, Fabio Sole, Fabio Lopes and Leon Chambers-Parillon could all be involved alongside U23 players Max Harris, Kevin Berkoe, Aaron Heap, Yoav Sade, Owen James and Kyran Lofthouse.

U23s Coach Chris Allen told us:

“The lads have to take every opportunity that comes along and I think a lot of them have a lot more to show as footballers and how they express themselves as footballers. Games like this are another vehicle to get valuable minutes in the tank and to hopefully force their way into the manager’s plans.”
