Academy Benefits As Fans Get Behind 125th Anniversary Draw

Almost £3,000 raised by half time draw

27 September 2018

Our thanks to everyone who bought tickets for last Saturday’s special 50/Fifty draw where we gave away five pairs of tickets to our fantastic 125th Anniversary Dinner.

This will be held at the Bodleian Library after the Shrewsbury game which marks the 125th year since the club was formed in the Britannia Inn in Headington.

Over £2,800 was raised for the Academy and Dan Harris, Academy Manager, told us

“As an Academy we are fiercely proud of our heritage here at Oxford United and for the club to agree to donate all profits from this event to the youth system here is a really significant statement of intent for which we are very grateful.

“I would encourage everyone to buy tickets to the game, share the links and encourage businesses across the county to get on board for what promises to be the event of the year here in Oxfordshire.”
