Hot on the heels of yesterday’s announcement that Singha Beer are to partner Oxford United next season, U’s Chairman Sumrith ‘Tiger’ Thanakarnjanasuth has revealed the shirt that the side will wear for the 2018/19 campaign.
This iconic kit is the first to be manufactured for the club by new kit suppliers PUMA and will feature the Singha logo in blue.
The shirt will be available for supporters to buy in all sizes both in the clubs shops and online from Saturday 21st July, when United entertain Crystal Palace in their first home pre-season game.
Meanwhile, the club’s new PUMA training kit will hit the shops at the beginning of July.
Pavin Bhirombhakdi, President of Bangkok Glass, told iFollow: “It’s an honour to be involved with Oxford United. The club has been there and done that and it’s time for the club to develop. In terms of the city itself and the local population it’s phenomenal to be able to get involved here and move it to where it’s supposed to be.
“I’ve been looking at the websites and social media and the fans seem to have good morale with all the changes that are going on here. A lot of things have to be slowly improved; it’s not immediate and we’re looking at the long term rather than the short term.”
Tiger added: “I’ve known Pavin for a while and he’s going to strengthen the club in terms of finance and his knowledge of football and very importantly, his passion. We’re going to work together very well.
“We’re working very, very hard. You saw before that we took our time to bring in Karl and fans can see how well he’s doing. It’s the same thing with the players; it’s going to be a very exciting season and you’re going to see a lot of good quality players coming in. Next season we’ll be very strong.”
