Prices announced as the adventure continues
Oxford United Season Tickets will go on sale next Monday, May 8th, for the 2017/18 season.
This season has seen the U’s finish in eighth place in League 1 - their highest finishing position since 1996. With a record 5,500 season ticket holders, the highest ever at Grenoble Road, it has been a fantastic year for the U’s who have enjoyed cup success and a Wembley final as well as establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with in League 1.
Prices for the new season start from £330 for adults with prices frozen in the Family Stand where we will have a new look #OX4Life scheme designed to give young fans of all ages a great deal for the new season
Chairman Daryl Eales has also promised that for every season ticket sold he will personally donate £5 to Oxford United in the Community.
“It has been another wonderful season of continued progress and the whole club should be proud of our collective achievements, especially another trip to Wembley and our highest league position for 20 years.
“I have always said fans are the lifeblood of our club and especially season ticket holders who go that critical extra mile.
“Everyone is aware of the constraints we operate under: not owning the stadium; not benefiting from food and beverage revenues; and paying an onerous licence fee and service charge for occupying the stadium on match days.
“With the above in mind, we have undertaken a detailed benchmarking exercise of our pricing structure, especially vis a vis our League 1 rivals.
“This has reconfirmed that, for the season just finished, we have adult prices in the lower half of the division and over 65 prices in the lower quartile.
“This season will see some rebalancing but, importantly, our adult prices remain at or below the median and our over 65 prices are below median or at lower quartile.
“At heart, I am a fan. So, despite the constraints we operate under, I hope our approach demonstrates that we are committed to affordable, competitively priced football and at prices which are below our current league position or, indeed, our ambition for next season.
“The new prices will provide greater choice and I am delighted that prices in the family stand are being held with under 7s continuing to be free of charge.
“I am sure fans will be pleased to know that 100% of any increase in season ticket revenue will be applied to increasing Michael's playing budget.
“Finally, to end on the theme of togetherness, progress and community, I am delighted to also donate personally £5 for every season ticket sold to the OUFC Community Trust.
“We have a wonderful club and can look forward with optimism. Please get your season ticket early and encourage friends, family, acquaintances to join you.
“Next season should see further progress and, without doubt, will be exciting and entertaining based on Michael Appleton's fast paced attacking brand of football - the adventure will continue! “
