News on #OX4Life deal for 2017/18

Oxford United’s ‘OX4Life’ scheme has been a phenomenal success this season and will be expanding to take in the full range of junior supporters in 2017/18.

Ox4Life started life as a membership scheme for youngsters and included a season ticket and a home shirt. From there it grew and grew, doubling from 211 members in 2015/16 to 456 youngsters on the current database. The new Family Area also proved a big attraction: 403 season tickets were sold, a 41% increase on last season.

With the Family Room and Olly’s Den providing pre match activities and entertainment , the OX4Life package has grown and grown and the 2017/18 season will see some exciting changes.

Previously OX4Life was aimed at under-13s, but from next season there will be three different groups, each specifically aimed at a different age group.

The OX4Tots will be an introduction for youngsters aged up to three years old. The OX4 Juniors will be available for 4-12 year olds, while teenagers can sign up for the OX4 Teens package.

Each young fan will receive a welcome pack, birthday and Christmas cards, discounts in the shop and a range of great gifts and offers, all relevant to their age group.

Youngsters in the under 13 age group who buy a season ticket will automatically be registered in the OX4Life deal FREE of charge.

Dan Buckley, Supporter Services Officer, told us:

“We did a lot of research on how other clubs run Junior memberships and the one thing they had in common was that they catered for the different age groups rather than one package to try and keep everyone from toddlers to teenagers happy and involved.

“This is all about creating a new generation of supporters and building on some really good foundations that were put in place over the last few years.

“In some ways we are victims of our own success because the numbers have rocketed and that means we can’t offer the free shirt again this season, but there will be a discount available for everyone and fans under 13 receive the whole pack for free with their season tickets, so it remains outstanding value.”
