One Last Time...

26 April 2017

U's get set for Sunday Service

There’s one last chance to get behind the U’s this Sunday as we welcome Shrewsbury Town for the final game of the 2016/17 season.

The U’s are guaranteed a top ten finish in their first season back at this level in 16 yers and Michael Appleton’s side will be going all out for a win against A Shrewsbury side who beat them 2-0 at Greenhous Meadow earlier in the campaign.

A reminder that the game kicks off at midday. It’s a big day all round for the U’s.

On Sunday morning we will be revealing our brand new home kit for next season. For the first time ever the kit will be available this early to allow fans to wear it through the summer months. The new look shop will reopen at 10am on Sunday and the team will be wearing the kit for the first time that afternoon.

Before kick off we will be presenting the Andrew Knapton Supporters’ Player of the Year Award. Andrew was the voice of the London Road until he sadly passed away in the summer of 2001. His friends and family bought the magnificent trophy in his honour and we will be presenting the winner with the award just before kick off.

After the game the players will be conducting a lap of the pitch to thank the fans. Please stay in your seats and the players will make their way round the outside of the pitch to applaud the magnificent support they have received this season.

A few hours later and we will be looking back on a fantastic year with the Player of the Season Awards, sponsored by Wellers. The Awards are a chance to reflect on a terrific season and among the awards will be Players Player of the Year, Goal of the Season and Young Player of the Year

Over 300 tickets have been sold but there are a handful of places remaining for this: call 01865 337503 to check availability.
