Our Premium Content Service, Yellow Player HD, continues to go from strength to strength and this month has seen record numbers of subscribers signing up.
Improved reliability, extended match highlights-in HD- and exclusive behind the scenes interviews before and after every game mean that well over 1,150 people now subscribe to Yellow Player HD with the figure rising all the time.
Communications Manager Chris Williams said:
“The figures for the last couple of months are really encouraging: we had targeted 1,000 subscribers last season but the number continues to rise.That is obviously good news for the club because, with syndication of content, we actually receive more income per subscriber than the price fans pay each month.
“One of the big steps forward was making it available across all devices so you can log in on your phone or tablet, and the HD extended highlights are also proving very popular. But the biggest reason that people sign up is for the live commentary, and that has become more reliable over the last year or so since we changed providers.
“There are big plans ahead for Yellow Player as well as the official website, which will be completely revamped at the end of this season, and we would love as many fans as possible to sign up for Player and try it for themselves.”
This week sees video interviews with Michael Appleton and Wes Thomas ahead of Saturday’s game at home to Bradford, plus Josh Ruffels is the guest star in the Preview Show where Chris Maguire and Phil Edwards road test a brand new game of skill.
