Women look to carry on good form this Sunday afternoon
Oxford United Women are in home action once again this Sunday as they take on the London Bees at Abingdon United’s Northcourt Road Ground (2pm).
The U’s are in good form, following up a 2-2 draw at Reading with a 1-0 win over Durham last weekend thanks to a Kat Nutman strike.
“There wasn’t much in it but I did think we were the more likely team to get a goal” Manager Les Taylor told us. “We have been far more consistent this time around than at this stage last season. It took us a little while to find our feet last summer, but I think we look as though that year’s extra experience has really helped. We have carried on the form we showed at the end of last year and I have been delighted with the attitude the players have shown and the way we have played.”
Visitors London Bees are without a win this season but there will be no complacency from the U’s as they look to build on an encouraging start to the campaign.
“London Bees won’t be happy with the way they have started the season” Les said “but that makes them a very dangerous side and our attitude will need to be spot on if we want another win”
Sunday’s game kicks off at 2pm and tickets are just £5 adults, £2 for under 16s and over 65s. Come along and support the U’s.
