PREVIEW Woking v Oxford United

21 July 2015

Woking progress for the U's

Oxford United continue their pre-season schedule with a game at Woking this evening (7.45pm).

A 5-0 win at Didcot and a 0-0 draw in Austria against Wiener Neustadt have seen the U’s in highly encouraging form so far and Head Coach Michael Appleton has no injury worries ahead of the game. Max Crocombe is now back with the squad after joining up with New Zealand but with a behind closed doors friendly against Benfica tomorrow Michael has hinted that Sam Slocombe will play 90 minutes tonight and Crocombe the full game tomorrow.

George Baldock is available after rolling an ankle last week in Austria.

Woking began pre-season with a 3-2 defeat at Staines on Saturday having been among the play-off contenders in the Conference for much of last season. The Cards have two familiar faces in their squad in former U’s Jake Cole and Scott Rendell who both spent time at the Kassam Stadium on loan.

Directions
The ground is situated on the A247, opposite the entrance to Woking Park, midway between the town centre and Old Woking. Leave the M25 at either junctions 10 (Wisley) or 11 (Chertsey) and follow the signs towards Woking. When nearing the town centre follow the brown signs showing Heathside car park.
