Players Prepare for Children's Hospital Visit
The Oxford United first team squad will be visiting the Oxford Children’s Hospital on Thursday 17th December and we are asking supporters to once again help us spread a little festive cheer.
The players will be visiting the wards to meet hospital staff and patients, some of whom may well be in hospital at Christmas. We are asking fans to bring in toys and presents this Saturday when the U’s take on Carlisle United at the Kassam Stadium.
All presents received will be given to the children at the hospital. to the children.
The players and the club have had a collection and bought games, DVDs and a few presents for the kids but for the last few years the supporters have been fantastic and helped us make it even more special by bringing in even more presents.
Can you help? We are looking for new toys, games, art sets, colouring books and puzzles. They can be for any age- please don’t wrap them so we can give the right present to the right person!
Please bring them in to a special ‘Santa’s Grotto’ at reception ahead of Saturday's game.
It doesn’t matter if it is one toy or a sack full - everything you donate will help a child at Christmas.
Alternatively, presents can be taken to the Club Shop any day of the week. Why not bring some along when you meet the players on late night opening this Thursday? The shop will be open until 7pm.
From 4-5.30pm on Thursday First Team Coach Derek Fazackerley will be at the shop with Johnny Mullins, Chey Dunkley and Kemar Roofe, and then from 5.30 to 7pm captain Jake Wright, Alex MacDonald and Josh Ruffels will be popping in.
