Spaces still available for Army/RAF football holiday courses
Oxford United are pleased to announce they have teamed up with Abingdon Army and Benson RAF to deliver holiday courses over the Easter period. The aim of the week is to provide serving military children the opportunity to interact with civilian children making new friends and to increase the level of sporting activity within the military.
Oxford United are eager to support military and civilian integration and we have identified that although military children are eager to participate in sporting activity, there is often a lack of transport and delivery of football courses in the local area.
The activity week will be ran on military bases by FA qualified Oxford United coaches. The week will see a mix of football coaching sessions, player visits and the RAF and Army have also allowed us access to military activities such as base tours, low ropes and helicopter visits.
The courses are open to everyone, however spaces are limited on the following holiday courses over the Easter period:
RAF Benson, Wallingford
Monday 7th – Friday 11th 2014
8.30 – 5.00 pm
Abingdon Army, Dalston Barracks
Monday 7th – Friday 11th 2014
10 – 3pm
