Yellow Army opportunities to be Fan of the Week
The new season is nearly upon us and this year fans are being given a unique chance to appear in the award-winning matchday programme - and to get involved as as a volunteer on a matchday.
You can appear as 'Fan of the Week' on the Yellow Army page in the bumper match-day publication - so make your submission now to be in with a chance of being a part of it. The new Fan of the Week section provides fans with the perfect opportunity to have their very own Oxford United keepsake.
All you need to do is email in your name, how long you've been a fan, or your first game, which stand you sit in, your favourite player and your top memory following United, plus a photo of you. Get in touch now, via: yellowarmyoufc@gmail.com, or the Yellow Army Facebook page.
The Yellow Army page will bring you all the latest supporters led news concerning match-day atmosphere and fund raising for the Youth and Community Trust.
Furthermore, the Yellow Club in partnership with the club are seeking match-day volunteers to help out at home games in the following areas: putting out flags before kick off, helping man the Yellow Army merchandise table and helping man the Manor Bar supporters bar door. Each activity is done on a rota, so you can help as little, or as much as you like.
The Yellow Army will have a table at the Oxford United Fun Day at the training ground on Roman Way on Sunday - where you can get an autograph sheet, designed by United fan Paul Wakefield, for a small donation and buy the Yellow Army merchandise, including a new product - a Yellow Army mug, which is £6. All profits go towards supporting the youth team and the women's team and improving the match-day atmosphere.
