Oxford United legend Joey Beauchamp is Friday's guest of honour
Joey Beauchamp - member of the Oxford United Hall of Fame, scorer of the Best Goal at the Manor, and local hero - is our guest of honour for our Good Friday match against York City at the Kassam Stadium (kick-off: 3pm).Joey played 428 games over two spells for the U's, scoring 79 goals from the wing. On Friday you can join Joey for a question-and-answer session in the 12th Man Bar at 1.30 after which he will visit the lounges and at half-time he will be presented on the pitch. You can also read an exclusive interview with Joey in Friday's matchday magazine, in which he talks openly and honestly about issues such as his abortive move to West Ham and his more recent bout of depression.
Joey told the matchday magazine: "I'd have loved to have played for England and in the Premier League. It was chaos when I went to West Ham - I thought I could play for them and carry on living in Oxford." Read the full interview in the matchday magazine on Friday and come along to the game to hear Joey speak.
Guest of honour for our final home game of the season against Accrington Stanley is Joey's wing partner and United's youth team coach Chrissy Allen. Send any questions for Chrissy to mbrodetsky@oufc.co.uk.
