Get behind the U's at Mansfield
The Yellow Army today unveils its ticket ticker for its big away day at Mansfield.
As the momentum builds towards the L2 match, branded the Yellow Army On Tour - The Big Away Day, United fans have launched the ticker to keep supporters up to date on ticket sales.
"A real buzz is building for the match and the ticker will really add to the build up to what promises to be a great day," said Joe Nicholls of the Yellow Army.
"Oxford fans are always interested in attendances and love keeping tabs on ticket sales, so this will keep everyone posted on how they're going - so get yours and be part of it."
As of the today 461 tickets have been sold - and with the match being all-ticket U's fans are urged to snap up their tickets in advance to avoid missing out.
The ticker will be updated regularly and posted on The Yellow Army Facebook group page and Twitter as part of the countdown to the match.
As part of the United We Stand campaign the Club has backed the Yellow Army On Tour - The Big Away Day by dropping the £2 non-members fee for any fan who wishes to travel by a London Road Travel coach to the match. Coach tickets for the game on November 16th are £15. So make sure you book yours in time to join the Yellow Army convoy to Mansfield.
"This offers United fans great value for money and is probably the best way to get to Mansfield, so we're delighted the club is backing the big day," said Shane Rolls, of the Yellow Army.
"A lot of fans have enquired about the coaches - but now it's really time to book your seats.
"Mansfield away will be all about showing our pride for our club, so we're encouraging fans to bring something yellow and make it loud."
The Yellow Army launched its rallying call to United fans last week to pull together for the match to create an extra special atmosphere for a big away game. It forms part of the Yellow Army's ambition to improve the match-day experience and atmosphere this season, both home and away.
Fans including Joe Nicholls, Shane Rolls, Matt Organ, Jimmy Leaf, Greig Box Turnbull and Mark Sennett have joined forces to organise the Yellow Army On Tour.
Matt Organ said: "We proved at Portsmouth what we can achieve when we really unite as Oxford fans. Mansfield is gearing up to be a really important match and I know we can make a difference on the day. I'd encourage United fans from all over the country to book their tickets and come and be part of this and help cheer on the team. The players often say that we make a real difference - so it's important we get behind them. I can't wait for the match."
